F.A.Q

What is VetBuds?

We are a 501(c) (3) non profit group of veterans whose purpose is to help other veterans.

Where and when do you meet?

There are three groups:

  • The North Fulton group is the largest, attracting 25-30+ to breakfast on the Third
Wednesday of each month to The Uptown Café in Johns Creek.
  • The West Cobb group meets at Marietta Perks on the First Wednesday of each
    month
  • The newest group meets for lunch at Rally Point Grille in Woodstock on the second
    Wednesday of each month.
Is there a cost?
  • No dues
  • One rule: “No whining!”
  • We do accept contributions at the North Fulton breakfast, members donate if they are able,
    nothing expected.
What do you do with the proceeds?

Nearly all monies donated are used to assist veterans in need. Some to student veterans
attending Georgia State University, some to repair donated vehicles which are then provided
at no cost to veterans needing transportation and some to other veterans with specific requests.

No one receives any compensation for their time or efforts. We do have some administrative
and promotional costs.

How can I join?

Just show up at one of the locations. You may be asked to present a veteran identification card or a DD 214.

We also welcome a few non veterans who provide direct support to individual veterans and/or other veteran organizations

How is VetBuds different from other veteran organizations?

We are not competing with any other organizations but complimenting them. We are a small group operating independently and efficiently with very little overhead. We get things done.
